Following a brief run earlier this year, this cartography software collection is back with an encore available through early December. Described as a "treasure trove of assets and apps" created by ProFantasy Software over the years, the entire collection carries a value of more than thirteen hundred dollars. Additionally, there exist multiple package options available here.
The standout feature is certainly a lifetime license for Campaign Cartographer 3+, an industry-standard cartography program which enables users to generate various types including epic fantasy landscapes, detailed regional charts, urban layouts, and, perhaps most importantly, tactical combat environments.
An imaginative landscape chart created using the CC3+ software platform.
The most affordable option, starting at just one dollar, features merely four of the 39 total items: Symbol Set 1: Fantasy Overland, Token Treasury: Monsters 1, Castle Source Maps, Urban Source Maps. This one's only for existing CC3+ users, but it does offer fresh fantasy design elements for landscape mapping, over seven hundred fifty creature tokens for use in virtual tabletops, more than two dozen top-down castle layouts including hundreds of map markers, eight complete urban centers, plus seventy-plus building interiors.
The eight-product collection starting at fifteen dollars is where things get more interesting through inclusion of permanent CC3+ access, the first Annual volume, Tome of Ultimate Mapping, Isometric Cities Symbol Pack. Cartographer's Annual is the annual collection from ProFantasy's long-running monthly subscription service featuring multiple CC3+ enhancements including map packs and various other tools. Isometric Cities lets you display cities with an extra dimension using angled views from multiple angles. And the Tome of Ultimate Mapping is a 760-page for beginners and "power users" alike, full of tips and tutorials covering cartography techniques.
Starting at thirty dollars, the comprehensive package contains these components:
Every volume of Cartographer's Annual come with this bundle, alongside a slew of other resource and asset packs enabling creators to design entire planets or galaxies, or focus exclusively on classic fantasy realm creation: battle maps, underground complexes, urban centers, and land masses from almost any perspective. You can even design character illustrations. For $30 as opposed to $15, the complete collection offers tremendous value, especially for cartographers who have only the annual CC3+ license seeking permanent licensing. But it's obviously more advantageous for map-making newbies since it includes introductory guides to facilitate learning. The sole limitation is that while the purchase is available across platforms, the applications only function with Windows systems.
Similar to previous bundles, a portion of each sale supports charitable organizations. For this one, that's Save the Children, established in 1919 by Eglantyne Jebb focused on improving the lives of children worldwide through education, health care, and emergency relief. Package customization options appear near the page top, but you can also select their donation amount on the right side of the page. There's also an "Adjust Donation" drop-down immediately below, enabling adjustment of the distribution percentage allocated between the platform, developer, and charity.
